As the Cell Testing Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team dedicated to testing Li-Ion battery cells for R&D experiments. You will manage cycling processes, ensure quality control, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
You will report directly to the Director of Engineering.
This position is an on-site presence (not hybrid).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Management – Plan and allocate tasks, train and mentor team members, and develop their technical skills.
- Battery Cell Testing – Supervise and manage cell test processes, ensuring compliance with established protocols, working closely with researchers.
- Quality Control – Oversee the cells quality control, insuring up to specification, working closely with researchers and production.
- Process Optimization & Efficiency Enhancement – Collaborate with engineers and researchers to optimize testing procedures.
- Workplace – Maintain a well-organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Practical Engineer or Engineer in a technical field, preferably electronics.
- At least 5 years of experience working in a laboratory.
- At least 3 years of experience in leading a technical team.
- Strong analytical attitude and familiarity with testing processes.
- Experience working with Li-ion cells – advantage.
- Knowledge of data analysis and statistics – advantage.
- Previous experience in a startup or industrial company – advantage.
