OUR founder’s journey

"My motto has always been that everything is possible, if you approach it with pure credulity and applying the power of the best minds of our planet. Intrigued by the inherent symmetry that exists in some forms of energy in nature between fast discharge and recharge, I assembled a team of scientists focused on replicating this fast charging capability in Li-ion batteries – something that was considered impossible when we started back in 2012. I knew the only way to break such performance envelop is by intersecting innovation from different scientific fields. Drawing from Alzheimer’s research that demonstrated the potential of using organic molecules for energy storage in nanoscale structures, we went on to synthesize innovative new compounds that eventually enabled our breakthrough.
What we did, was to radically alter the conventional battery chemistry with these novel nanostructures, called nano-dots, the very ones that still “dot” our name to this very day.

Within one year we have demonstrated the great qualities of our organic and inorganic compounds, and StoreDot was named the Most Disruptive Company in the World by Disrupt100. We have since received numerous accolades and forged a broad partnership
with industry leaders, who have joined our journey in developing extreme fast charging and extreme energy density solutions that are designed to take humanity to a zero-emissions world."
- Dr. Doron Myersdorf, CEO & Co-Founder
